Purple Heavens and The Revelation of Years

King sun awaiting to shine from the purple heavens. (02.02.14)

“God’s glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon.

Madame Day holds classes in the morning, Professor Night lectures each evening.

Their word aren’t heard, their voices aren’t recorded,

But their silence fills the earth: unspoken truth is spoken everywhere.

God makes a huge dome for the sun – a superdome!

The morning sun’s a new husband leaping from his honeymoon bed,

The daybreaking sun an athlete racing to the tape.

That’s how God’s Word vaults across the skies from sunrise to sunset,

Melting ice, scorching deserts, warming hearts to faith.

The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together.

The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road.

The life-maps of God are plain and easy on the eyes.

God’s reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee.

The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree.”

                  (Psalm 19:1-9 The Message)

It’s been a while since I wrote my last blog post. So many things happened the past two months that the change of years were like a fast flip and flap from a book. The transition of my life from 2012 to 2013, and now to 2014 seem to drift very slow in days but completely swift in years.

To summarize the couple of years that made a huge transition in my life: 2012 broke and pruned me, and 2013 taught me about commitment, healing and growth. Now that 2014 is fast flipping, I am looking forward to a year of restoration, productivity, and increase.

Isn’t it that life is a series of seasons? You lose and you gain, you’re broken to be made whole, you get sick and restored, you live to die, and die to live. But every thing (good and bad) is beneficial to living and growing, and to fruitfulness and expansion. In every season, I think what’s important is that you make something good out of the bad, and make your best out of the good. Life is about living. It’s time to make something out of your life now. Unless you want to live an idle, futile, and worthless life.

So today, I embrace and remain grateful to the One who’s been faithful and constant through out the seasons of my life. The only One who can make purple and colorful heavens that all the more expands my thoughts on how crazy big this God is. It gives me peace knowing that this enormous God is the One who holds my future. He is in control in every season of my life.

Ultimately, I pray that the purple and colorful heavens will reveal that God has intended for you and me to have a beautiful and abundant life. But, as always, it is our decision to live one. Decide how you want to live your life today. :)

What’s in store for 2014? A lot of good changes. Which I’m not yet allowed to say (feeling secretive). Well, first I need to finish all the drafts that I’ve been itching to share. (Confession time, there’s a lot!) Second, I really want to write more not just for me and hopefully to some friends and anonymous readers, but also, I want to write for my children and my children’s children. I want them to have a glimpse of their Mama and Nana’s life. I pray that my personal blog and writings will touch generations, so help me God.

Today, as I also celebrate my dear Mama’s birthday, allow me to share things that remind me about her this week. I also hope to continue the Episodes of Grace which really helped me in my season of healing. Mama, as you said goodbye at 64, I know that you’ll be saying hello to me to forever, beyond the purple and delightful heavens. Sending my love and birthday greetings to you my one and only Mama! Thanking our good Lord for your well lived life. :) It’s an honor to be your daughter.

2014 continues…
