A Short Tribute: I Miss You Mama

One late quiet night in Hong Kong, I asked my friend if she could take a photo of me at the gorgeous doorway of a branded shop. I was looking away from the camera with a goal to have a "candid" shot. But what my friend didn't know was that, while looking far away, my heart and mind were also away wondering about the deep things in my heart.

One late quiet night in Hong Kong, I asked my friend if she could take a photo of me at the gorgeous doorway of one high-end shop. I was looking away from the camera with the goal to have a “candid” shot. But what my friend didn’t know was that, while looking far away, my heart and mind were also away wondering about the deep things in my heart.

Strong women are not afraid to be weak, vulnerable, scared, or lost…

When she’s weak, that’s when she become the strongest.

When she’s vulnerable, that’s when she love the deepest.

When she’s scared, that’s when she become more courageous.

And when she’s lost, that’s when she conquer!

I could say that I’m still learning to be a stronger woman now that I’m in my (early) 30’s. (Take note about the “(   )” ). But I’m definitely beyond blessed to have met, loved and be trained by one of the strongest women that I’ve ever known, my Mama. She taught me a lot of things that prepared me for all the twists and turns in life. She was there. And I miss exchanging flowers with her each and every year.

This year, I want to honor my Mama by honoring other moms. I want to be a part of honoring a strong woman in your life.

With this, I want to hear how important your mom is in your life. What do you appreciate the most about her? Why do you want to celebrate her? How important is your mom for you?

Why do you think she’s the strongest woman in your life?

(If you still have your mom around you, please don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate her, appreciate her and love her to the fullest extent that you can. Life is shorter than you think it is.)

This is NOT A PROMO nor a POPULARITY CONTEST. And I won’t ask you to like pages or to follow me. But I want you to leave your email and comment below on why you honor your mom and why do you think she’s the strongest woman in your life. (Feel free to write to your heart’s content.)

I really want to hear your stories! I’m picking two most heartfelt messages about their moms on May 9, 2015 (Saturday). I want to give you a gift for your mom, which you can PICKUP on May 10, 2015 (Sunday) from 10am to 2pm at Tassel Project Inc’s booth at Megatrade Hall (see their Facebook page for details about their exhibit).

*I will announce the two chosen stories on this blog and on my Facebook & Instagram this Saturday! The gifts are ONLY for PICKUP on Sunday.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY WEEK! ♡

    Dear Mommy,

Thank you for everything you taught me. I thank you for always teaching me to be responsible and to be obedient, and I thank God that you taught me about Him. I thank God that you are my mother, if you weren’t, then I would not be able to see your nice smile or hear your laugh or scolding, just kidding 
But the best thing about you is your love for God, you are a woman of God. Seriously, every time I disobey you, you would tell me a Bible verse. It’s amazing how much faith you have in Him.
I love you because you raised me even without a father, and I’m thankful that I have a mother because without you, I would have been in another family and I’m not sure if they can take good care of me as much as you do. You are a strong woman in many ways even if you were all alone when I was born, you still worked your butt off and smiled your way through the hardships. And now that my Dad and little sister are here, I now know how much you love each one of us. You will always be my inspiration in life. I will always ask for your ‘recommendations.’
I love you, Mommy and you are the best in the world !
    Happy Mother’s Day!

    Yours truly,
    Isabella

p.s. Win or lose in this contest, I’m already a winner—1st Place! Because I have you!
